This is a digital version of my artistic portfolio created while at Mississippi School of the Arts. The show is themed around greed, humanity, and had hints of divinity within. A mix of mediums are used throughout.

Rotten Feast

A fine artwork inspired by medieval works of the past. The food is rotting, left in place with no bites taken, it shows the wastefulness of those with extreme amounts of money.

Melting Man

This is an acrylic artwork done on glass meant to symbolize losing oneself. The cool and pastel pallet is meant to softly contrast with the rest of the more red artworks.

Hellfire

A hellish fire outside an old church window, done on canvas placed on the back, cut to the frame. Its smooth, cloudy and dark, the blue giving a soft frost on the window, showing the distance one may feel from the horrifying reality around them.

For Her

This art piece of my real life cat is meant to show a wish to give the world to someone you love but not truly being able to. Aside from an unmarked cheap bottle of alcohol, nothing but roses surround the subject.

Strawberries

A smaller piece compared to the other works, this one is a light work done in oil. It's a simple reminder of the smaller joys in life. As someone who grew up relatively poor, simple joys like peaches and strawberries 'n' cream made my childhood bright.

Miner's Cap

A hat from the 1940's, its dark and messy. The bright white background is meant to bring out the dullness and lack of life that the hat contains, calling back to museum display cases.

Leftovers

A fine artwork inspired by medieval works of the past. The food is rotting, left in place with no bites taken, it shows the wastefulness of those with extreme amounts of money.

Tea Time

This is a painting showcasing the light and the dark, while also showing the calm beauty of drinking tea.

Meager Feast

A smaller sibling piece to Leftovers, this is an eaten apple showing that as some are able to have all in the world that do not need it, some people cannot get the food that they desperately need.

Burnout

Workers are used to the point of extreme fatigue and burnout, the people often feel as though they are exhausted and cannot escape.

Red Tether

A donkey, representing the often despised and frowned upon blue collar workers, is being lead by a red tether without any control on its own. The owner decides where it is to go.

Angelic

An angel trapped in a box, showing how religiosity is often a way to escape reality temporarily for the working class but that freedom does not last.
